POV Sunday: Brooklyn Castle
& American Promise

Filmmakers, actors, and producers gathered to discuss the inspiration and impact of their films.

Brooklyn Castle is the exhilarating story of five I.S. 318 young chess players and how chess became the school's unlikely inspiration for academic success.

American Promise presents complicated truths about America's struggle to come of age on issues of race, class and opportunity. This film was the winner of the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award, 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
